Dental Implants

A dental implant utilizes an artificial root, made from surgical-grade titanium that is placed in your mouth. Your jawbone bonds to the artificial root, creating a secure foundation for the attachment of a natural-looking porcelain crown or a bridge that is custom created for you. Some of the biggest advantages of implants are that they are more similar to your natural teeth, the adjacent teeth do not have to be involved in the procedure, and the implants help prevent shrinkage of your jawbone that can occur from tooth loss. Dental Implants can be used to replace missing teeth in the back of the mouth, as well as in the front. For more information about dental implants in Sedro Woolley, WA 98284 call us today.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Unlike traditional dentures, implant-supported dentures are locked into place, preventing the problems that occur when dentures loosely slide around the mouth, including gum sores and difficulty speaking and chewing. With the firm foundation provided with dental implants, your implant-supported dentures from Dr. Brandt will look, feel, and stimulate your jawbone like natural teeth, promoting your long-term oral health while preventing bone loss. Ask Dr. Brandt how you can replace a tooth or even an entire set of teeth with beautiful, natural-looking, implant-supported dentures.

Dentures

A natural look and a perfect fit are Dr. Brandt’s priorities when customizing your dentures. Well-designed dentures can help replicate your biting function, allowing you to live a full, rewarding life, while ill-fitting dentures offer quite the opposite. Mouth sores and difficulty chewing and speaking are just some of the painful side effects of poor dentures. Don’t let these problems stand in the way of your dental health. Let Dr. Brandt design the perfect dentures for your smile.

Partial Dentures

A partial denture will provide you with a natural-looking way to restore your smile to its original brilliance. You will be pleased with how your new partial denture fills in the gaps in your smile…gaps caused by missing teeth that cannot be corrected by a bridge. The partial denture will preserve your bone structure, as well as the integrity of your existing teeth by preventing them from shifting and tilting in towards the gaps created by your missing teeth. Crowns

Your teeth undergo a tremendous amount of stress during your lifetime. Teeth may show this wear in a variety of ways, including discoloration, chipping, and fracturing. Crowns restore the function of your teeth and return your smile to its original brilliance. Porcelain crowns can be made out of porcelain or porcelain fused to metal and can be shaded to match your teeth. Crowns made of gold and zirconium are also an option. After the tooth is prepared, the crowns are specifically fitted to restore functionality and to enhance the appearance of your smile. If you experience pain when chewing or temperature sensitivity, ask Dr. Brandt if crowns are right for you.

Bridges

Sometimes gum disease, injury, decay or a lifetime of wear results in the loss of a tooth. A large gap in your smile, left uncorrected, can create significant problems for your dental health. Over time, your bite pressure may shift to other parts of your mouth in order to compensate for an inability to efficiently chew in the area of the missing tooth. Neighboring teeth may begin to move about, moving into the gap and resulting in discomfort, pain and more problems down the road. Porcelain bridges “bridge the gap” in your smile. Dr. Brandt creates a natural looking, functional bridge to correct your smile, to restore your bite, and to alleviate your discomfort. A porcelain bridge is created out of metal alloys or porcelain and utilizes the teeth on both sides of the gap as its supportive structure. After some preparation of the two neighboring teeth, crowns are created for them. A prosthetic tooth (or pontic), is fused between the crowns to fill the gap. A bridge is a semi-permanent dental restoration (meaning it can only be removed by a dentist), so you can rest assured that your porcelain bridge will be a lasting restoration to your oral health.

Inlays/Onlays

Sometimes effectively removing tooth decay requires the removal of a portion of your tooth. The removed portion is replaced with a porcelain inlay or onlay. Dr. Brandt customizes an inlay or onlay to fill the space left behind when part of your tooth is removed. Traditionally, inlays and onlays were made out of metal, much like traditional fillings. Now, porcelain-milled inlays and onlays are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth and provide relief from chewing pain, cavity pain, and tooth degeneration.

ORAL CANCER SCREENING

Did you know that every day approximately 100 adults in the U.S. are diagnosed with oral cancer? Unfortunately, most of these cases of cancer are not identified until the late stages of development, which leads to a high rate of death. But this does not have to be the case!

DIGITAL X-RAYS

Unlike traditional, film-based X-rays, digital X-rays often show more detail and can be archived in our system for future reference and comparison. You will appreciate a more comfortable visit with less waiting and quicker treatment.
